Dear JunkTheory Community,
It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we share the news that on December 31, 2025, JunkTheory will be closing its doors.
Over the years, thousands of you have believed in our mission to eliminate junk ingredients and wasteful plastic packaging from the beauty industry. You’ve embraced our clean formulas, used our products, and in turn helped spare our planet from massive amounts of harmful plastic.
Together, we became part of something much bigger than skincare — a movement, a growing awareness, a shift toward better beauty for people and the planet.
We’ve explored every possible path forward, however, in the face of rising tariffs and mounting economic pressures, it is no longer sustainable for us to continue operating in a way that meets our values. In end, we’ve made the extremely difficult decision to discontinue the brand at the end of the year.
And while our chapter in the larger story is coming to a close, we feel incredibly proud of all we’ve accomplished. We’re proud of the community we built, the anti-plastic fighters we teamed up with, and most of all you, our customers and supporters.
Starting today, December 9, we will begin our march to the finish line with a series of epic sales with something for everyone, in hopes to sell as much of our amazing clean skincare as we can. We hope you’ll take this chance to stock up your favorite products — or to try a formula that perhaps you always meant to.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for believing in this mission, for supporting independent, planet-first beauty, and for giving JunkTheory life.
We sincerely hope you enjoyed using our clean formulas (we absolutely loved making them from scratch along side you), and that you will continue to seek out ways to live life with less junk.
