JunkTheory is an idea and a belief that we CAN create products that aren’t made from junk and don’t become junk when we’re done using them. Our theory rests on the hope that companies can be leaders in this movement and JunkTheory is determined to join forces with anyone interested in legitimately and urgently heading in this direction. We are not interested in green washing, we have no time for false or misleading claims and we are committed to ending the creation and consumption of junk. Our health and the planet’s viability are on the line. We hope you join us in proving our theory correct, that together we CAN influence a movement where there is no more junk.

JKTY is like our minimalist nickname. It’s an abbreviation for JunkTheory - JK for Junk and TY for Theory (the first and last letter of each word, combined together).

Nope. Brands have had way more ludicrous names. What’s important for us, is that JunkTheory stands for something important. We hope our name makes you pause and think… and maybe *rethink* your relationship with junk.

Our products are made in sunny Southern California.

No. Never. We are a member of the Leaping Bunny Program and we do not purchase ingredients or engage with suppliers who cannot prove their ingredients are cruelty free.

Yes, every one of our formulas is Certified Vegan through Vegan Action.

• Never. We choose to develop scent profiles through minimal use of bio available essential oils, and we disclose 100% of the ingredients in every scent blend. 
• Disclosing every ingredient is not the industry standard as many brands choose to simply list the word “fragrance” on their Ingredient Lists which allows them to keep their true and complete ingredient list secret. We believe that you (the consumer) should have access to 100% of the ingredients in every formula which is why we share every single ingredient in every single JunkTheory product.

• All three of our launch products are Certified Vegan through Vegan Action and Certified Cruelty Free through Leaping Bunny.
• We also use several ingredients that are Certified Organic and/or COSMOS Certified.

Our products have a 30-month shelf life from the date of manufacture. We recommend using your products within 6 months after opening for the best experience.

Store products at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

We formulate our products to the cleanest standards on the planet, however, healthcare decisions are critically important and we recommend discussing your product preferences with your physician.

Our products do not contain any SPF ingredients, however we support and recommend using safe sun protection as a key skincare practice. Your favorite sunscreen can easily be layered after you use our CAMO daily moisturizer.

JunkTheory exclusively sells products through JunkTheory.com and ships to all 50 states. We do not currently sell products in retail stores, but stay tuned!

This is our FAVORITE question. All of our products are curbside recyclable - which means you can toss them in your recycling bin at home (this includes our jars, bottles, boxes, and bags). We recommend rinsing your jars and bottles before replacing the lids and tossing in your recycling.

We accept all major credit cards as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Amazon Pay.

Our website only accepts one code per transaction, however if you have more than one code you can place multiple orders to redeem them.

A few things to check first:

• Is the code spelled correctly? Make sure to type in the code exactly - no extra spaces, letters, or punctuation.
• Is the coupon code expired? Expiration dates will be found in the email in which you received the code, however not all expiration dates are publicized. JunkTheory reserves the right to end a promotion for any reason without notice.

If the code doesn’t appear to be expired and it is spelled correctly, please take a screenshot of your error messages and your check out page and email us at info@junktheory.com. We’ll do our best to help troubleshoot.

We do! We offer free shipping on orders over $60 to customers in all 50 states.

We currently ship to the 50 United States only.

We do our best to process all orders as quickly as possible so you can get your goods ASAP. We also offer expedited shipping options that you can select at checkout.

We strive to have all orders processed and shipped within 1-3 days from the moment the order is placed. We ship from our JunkTheory warehouse in Los Angeles and transit time will depend on the shipping option you select and how far you are located from our warehouse. You should receive estimated shipping times at checkout.

You will receive a confirmation email as soon as we receive your order and another email notification when your order ships. We encourage you to check the tracking link in your shipping email for up-to-date information on the status of your package. If your delivery tracking hasn’t been updated for 10 business days, please email us at info@junktheory.com and we will do our best to help you track it down!

• At JunkTheory, we chose to package our products in aluminum because it is an infinitely recyclable material, it has the highest recycling rate in the world, it is extremely lightweight, and it doesn’t crack (like glass). What it does do though, is dent and ding. 
• While we package our products in protective shipping materials, our products could arrive with slight dents or dings. We hope you love and appreciate the tiny imperfections as we do, however, if the integrity of the formulas are in any way compromised, please let us know. We ask that you take a picture of the products as they arrived to you, and email us the photo at info@junktheory.com along with a brief description of the damage and we will get back to you asap with the next steps.

• If you’re not satisfied with your products, you can send them back to us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding original shipping costs if any). 
• There will be a $7 shipping fee deducted from the refund to cover the shipping label.

We really want you to love it, but if you don’t, you can initiate a return for orders placed on junktheory.com by visiting our Returns Center with your order number and zip code. Once your return is authorized, you’ll receive step-by-step instructions and a prepaid shipping label via email.

When we receive your return, the aluminum packaging will be cleaned and properly recycled.
